If you’ve ever felt the urge to delete your social media apps and still make money, this post is for you. I’m going to share with you how I achieved $20,000 in sales without relying on social media and the exact strategies that you can use to do the same.

Becoming Social Media Optional

A few months ago, I decided to make my business social media optional. This decision stemmed from the realization that a majority of my clients did not come from organic social media marketing.

Despite using a simple four-posts-per-week strategy, managed by my VA, I felt burnt out. So, I decided to become social media optional, allowing me to enjoy my summer without feeling chained to my phone.

After deciding to have a social media-free summer, I deleted my apps and informed my VA that I wouldn’t be posting any content until further notice. After doing this, I generated over $20,000 in revenue in less than a week through ads and emails alone.

How to Make Sales Without Social Media

Here’s the simple strategy I implemented:

  1. Run Lead Generation Ads: I ran one lead generation ad campaign costing $10 to $15 a day targeting my audience, primarily moms in coaching, consulting, or service providers.
  2. Email Marketing: Once people entered my funnel, I added them to my email list and began emailing them. My email cadence is typically three to five times per week, sometimes more depending on my marketing activities.

Key Elements for Success

To achieve success with this strategy, two key elements must be in place:

  1. High Converting Ad Campaign: The ads must get clicks, and your lead magnet must attract the right people who are not merely freebie seekers. I teach my clients the science of creating effective lead magnets to ensure they attract potential clients.
  2. Sales Email Marketing Strategy: You need to sell through your emails, not just nurture your list. Many email marketers emphasize the importance of nurturing, but selling is crucial for seeing significant results.

My Offers and Results

During this time, I launched an email campaign for my group program, emailing more frequently than usual. Even outside the group program, I enrolled one-on-one and done-for-you clients using the same strategy. Each client cited my compelling emails as a determining factor in choosing my services.

The Power of Email Marketing

Template emails can often sound generic and fail to convert. I ensure my emails are unique and tailored to my audience’s needs, which has drastically improved my results and those of my clients. Customizing email content helps articulate the value of your offer and moves people to take action.

Final Words

Adopting this approach can allow you to generate revenue without the constant need to engage on social media.
